Leadis Technology Announces Low-Cost 4 Gray Scale Monochrome OLED Driver IC for Mobile Phones and MP3 Players Print E-mail

SUNNYVALE, CA, Jul 24, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

Leadis Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: LDIS), a leading mixed-signal semiconductor developer of color display driver ICs for small panel displays, today announced sample availability of the LDS519, a mono OLED driver IC with integrated controller supporting 4 gray 96x64 and 48-Icons. Integrating 13K bits of full frame memory, the LDS519 is a highly integrated SoC designed to provide vivid and accurate images for MP3 player and mobile phone sub-display applications.

The device inherits all the features of the LDS511, one of the most successful OLED drivers, but offers low cost to give customers the flexibility to prolong it useful lifetime on a wide variety of mobile applications. The interface of LDS519 supports the 80/68 series and Serial MPU interface. The 48 Icons with internal DC-DC helps low power consumption in waiting mode of mobile phone set. And LDS519 can adjust frame frequency for display quality and reference current for brightness of display. LDS519 has an input data order selection function to enhance the flexibility of the module design.

"The LDS519 enables us to satisfy our customer's request for continuous cost improvement on their high volume platforms. It does this successfully by achieving the same consistency and performance of its predecessor but at lower cost," said Jose Arreola, General Manger of DDI.

About the LDS519
